BREAKING: Eagles' Vick, McCoy out against Carolina

November 26, 2012

Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy are inactive for the Eagles' game against Carolina because of concussions.

Rookies Nick Foles and Bryce Brown will start in place of Vick and McCoy on Monday night. Foles will make his second career start at quarterback, and Brown his first at tailback.

Vick was injured against Dallas on Nov. 11 and didn't play last week in the Eagles' 31-6 loss to Washington, their sixth straight defeat. McCoy was hurt in the fourth quarter against the Redskins.

Wide receiver Jason Avant misses his second straight game with a hamstring injury.

There are no inactive surprises for the Panthers. Defensive end Antwan Applewhite (hamstring) and wide receiver David Gettis are among the players out for the Panthers.
