‘Scout’ing out Newton - Mockingbird actress visits The Green Room

If you’ve seen the classic film, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” you probably remember the face of Jean Louise “Scout” Finch played by ten-year-old Mary Badham.

More than five decades after the film debuted, Badham is still traveling around the country talking about Mockingbird and its lessons of racism, bigotry and social injustice. As part of Catawba county’s Big Read event, Badham spoke to an audience at The Green Room Tuesday evening.
